Even the people who don't celebrate Easter still enjoy the Easter egg hunts and other festivities of the holiday. Most people enjoy the holiday for one simple reason: candy. Giving gifts of candy on Easter is a tradition throughout the country. Easter gourmet baskets have become very popular for this reason. They are easy to give and offer multiple items, making them perfect for families.

Although Easter gourmet baskets can contain many different types of food, most Easter gourmet baskets focus on one particular food: chocolate. Chocolate Easter bunnies are found in every basket as well as other common Easter candies, like chocolate eggs. Easter gourmet baskets can include colored Easter eggs or candy inside plastic Easter eggs, although these kinds of decorations will depend on the company who makes the baskets. Some Easter gourmet baskets may actually contain no chocolate if the candy company does not make chocolates, but this is fairly rare for most companies.

Other decorations for Easter gourmet baskets are varied but still follow the Easter theme of pastel colors. Some Easter gourmet baskets use large amounts of decorations, while others will focus more on the candy and offer little more than a box in the way of decoration.
